Morgan Wade Teases New Song “Psychopath,” And I Really Hope It … – Whiskey Riff

Country music is the lifeblood of Whiskey Riff, and we pride ourselves on standing firmly in the corner of the independent artists, and those few in the mainstream still doing it the right way. Whether it’s Waylon, Willie and legends of the past, or superstars in the making like Zach Bryan, our finger is always on the pulse of true country music. From Texas to Tennessee, Appalachia to Bakersfield, Whiskey Riff is THE unapologetic voice of the country music fan.
A RIFF on what makes the great outdoors…great.
“Country” is more than just a steel guitar. It’s a lifestyle. A mindset. A cold beer, hot grill and the great outdoors. A lifestyle so perfectly captured by the country greats of yesterday, but still alive and well today in artists who truly get it.
Whiskey Riff is that lifestyle.
Say goodbye to boredom.
The best playlists in country music…period.
On ‘Whiskey Riff Raff,’ Steve Gazibara and Wes Langeler give an unfiltered and unapologetic take on country music, life, and all the craziness that comes with it. Laugh with us. Rant with us. Drink with us.
I really hope this means more new music from Morgan Wade is coming our way soon…
She teased a new one on Instagram yesterday called “Psychopath,” which is not about exactly what it sounds like, and is actually a pretty sweet little love song.
I will never get over how incredible, rich and raspy Morgan’s vocals are, and listening to her play with just an acoustic guitar is nothing short of magical.
She’s been teasing a mighty wide variety of new music this year on Instagram, including some pretty pop-sounding songs that are definitely out of her typical wheelhouse, but this one is pretty dang country and one of my favorite’s in her unreleased catalog.
Check it out, I really hope it makes the cut whenever it’s time to narrow things down for her next studio album:

Morgan released her Acoustic Sessions EP in August, and has put out a few one-off singles this year, like “If I Was Your Lover” with Kip Moore and “The Night (Part 2),” but her most recent record Reckless was released in 2021.
She’s gearing up to hit the road in 2023 on her No Signs Of Slowing Down tour in February, so hopefully she’ll have some new songs to play for us on the road sometime next year.
